| How do I pronounce Loralie's name? "I go by Lora-lie said I, not by Lora-lee, Lora-lee is just not me, I go by Lora-lie said I." When are new patterns available? New designs come out every month. You can find the available designs on LoralieDesigns.com. Where is a color chart that I can work off of? You'll find a PDF for each design on the CD. Example: PinheadPrintout.pdf. This PDF functions as a color chart for every design on the CD. It contains information about the design's dimensions, stitch count and color order. You can open and print this file using Acrobat Reader. You can download a free copy of Adobe's Acrobat Reader from their Web site. Where can I see which thread shades are intended for these designs and check the order they will need to sew in? That information is listed in a printout PDF that is included for every design in the set. You can tell which printout file goes with each design file by the file name they've been saved with, and they can be viewed and printed with Adobe's Acrobat Reader program. If you don't already have this program on your computer if can be downloaded free of charge here. Having trouble with thread conversion? See here. When I open the embroidery file, why do the thread shades shown not match the Madeira shades listed on the printout? DST and EXP files do not contain any color information - they just display in your programs default colors. Other formats such as PES, JEF, HUS, or ART have a limited palette of colors that we can choose from for the display colors. Shades that exactly match the Madeira shades simply aren't available to choose from. Some embroidery programs such as Embird will create a second "Palette" file to accompany each design that will hold the additional display information with exact thread shades, but they are specific to each program rather than being a universal file that all the programs will read, and so we have not included them as they are not necessary when the PDF has been included. If I want to embroider one of these designs using different colors how can I keep them all straight and not make an error in my revised color order? Try printing a copy of the design printout included on the disk, and then make notes on the paper. You can make notes regarding shade replacements, and if you're using a single-needle machine you can check off each color as it sews to remember which color you will need next. |
